Intel Play QX3

Look closely

What happens when a computer chip giant like Intel teams up with a toy manufacturer as big as Mattel? The answer: the Intel Play QX3 computer microscope, which connects to a PC via the USB port and displays still, moving, and time-lapse images on the computer screen at up to 200x magnification. Kids can store and manipulate the images on-screen using the bundled software, and the camera can even be removed from its base to capture unusual specimens, such as a friend's freckles. For $99, science lab just got a lot more interactive.
