Manager, Council of Urban Boards of Education (CUBE)

The National School Boards Association seeks a seasoned professional to manage the design and delivery of all aspects of urban governance programming. This individual will be responsible for managing CUBE conferences and events, to include planning and designing professional development programming, with an emphasis on content of special relevance to urban boards of education; identifying and managing speaker relationships; and overseeing production schedules. The selected candidate will work collaboratively to develop resources and products related to equity and student achievement issues, and will work in conjunction with state association members, urban districts, and staff liaisons on related projects.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field; experience with issues related to K-12 education, with an understanding of the impact of education policy on diverse student populations and urban school districts; knowledge of adult learning principles and experience in designing and delivering programming; excellent project management, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills; strong customer-oriented focus, and ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment; exceptional conference and meeting management skills, as well as time management skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and databases; and the ability and willingness to travel.
