Network Membership & Responsibilities
The FRN works in close partnership with the state school boards associations. The executive directors of these groups appoint up to five local school board members to represent each of that state’s congressional districts in the Federal Relations Network. Each state association determines the duration of its representatives’ appointments.
As an FRN appointee, you have accepted the following advocacy responsibilities to ensure the network’s maximum effectiveness:
- Timely response to ALL calls-to-action;
- Commitment to develop a year-round relationship with your members of Congress; and
- Willingness to distribute calls-to-action and background materials to your school board colleagues and to get others involved.
