Competitiveness

In order for the U.S. economy to remain strong in the 21st century, the education system must do its part to produce the type of workers that will be globally competitive.

Why is This Important to Your School District?

At the core of their mission, all school districts are working to provide students with the highest-quality instruction to promote student achievement. In order to do so well, school districts must use modern methods and new strategies to remain effective and relevant in the 21st century.

What to Tell Congress: NSBA's Position

NSBA believes more emphasis on Pre-K through 12th grade investments and interventions is needed to help prepare students with the skills that they will need to be successful in the 21st century world economy. It will take a national commitment to ensure that all stakeholders - education, business, and government - are working together to provide students with the tools and resources that they need.
