State Educational Technology Grants

The Enhancing Education through Technology (EETT) program is authorized by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), in Title II, Part D. The primary goal of this program is to improve student achievement through the use of technology in elementary and secondary schools. Additional goals include helping all students become technologically literate by the end of the eighth grade and, through the integration of technology with both teacher training and curriculum development, establishing research-based instructional methods that can be widely implemented.

The EETT program received a one-time funding boost of $650 million in economic stimulus funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). While the uses of ARRA funds are similar to those under regular appropriations, they must be spent by September 30, 2011.
