2003 Survey Results

The National School Boards Association is pleased to share the results of our 2003 survey of school board presidents on after-school programs.  In 2002, NSBA joined the after-school movement by launching the Extended-Day Learning Opportunities (EDLO) program.  In partnership with members of the NSBA Federation of state school boards associations and several national organizations, NSBA is helping local school boards and state associations provide leadership for building and sustaining effective community partnerships to implement programs that extend the school day beyond traditional hours.  The EDLO program is supported through a grant from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.

The survey brochure, titled Realizing the Vision, Leading the Way, and the full survey report are available below.  To obtain a full-color copy of the Realizing the Vision, Leading the Way survey brochure, contact Aaron Dorsey, EDLO Program Manager, at adorsey@nsba.org or (703) 838-6752.
