CUBE 38th Annual Conference: Building Culturally Competent Governance for Urban Schools

In step with this year’s theme Building Culturally Competent Governance for Urban Schools, more than 200 attendees held a series of discussions on cultural diversity in urban schools during the general sessions, task force programs, district workshops and CUBE’s Conversation on Race. At the conference, Norfolk City Public Schools was awarded the 2006 CUBE Annual Award for Urban School Board Excellence. Houston Independent School District and the Miami-Dade County Public Schools were recognized for their efforts in governing outstanding urban districts.
