CUBE Issues Forum & Congressional Luncheon

January 27 & 30, 2007
Washington, DC

The CUBE Issues Forum and Congressional Luncheon was held in conjunction with NSBA’s Federal Relations Network Conference in Washington, D.C. late January and early February of this year.

At the 2007 CUBE Issues Forum on January 27, attendees participated in vigorous discussions on issues of urban school board governance, cases before the Supreme Court addressing voluntary school-integration programs, and the DREAM Act which could provide conditional resident status for young people who have grown up in the United States and have received education in our schools.

On January 30, CUBE Members had the opportunity to discuss the education priorities for the 110th Congress with Congressman George Miller (D-CA) and Chair of the House Education & Labor Committee.
