National Black Caucus Board of Directors
The Caucus leadership consists of four officers: Chair, Chair-Elect, Secretary- Treasurer, and Immediate Past Chair; five regional directors which represent the five NSBA Regions (Central, Northeast, Pacific, Southern and Western); and two
ex officio members, the NSBA President and Executive Director.
The Board of Directors has a fall retreat and holds its annual membership and business meetings during the NSBA Annual Conference and Exposition every spring.
During the spring business meeting, the Caucus elects and/or re-elects its board of directors. Regional Directors are elected by the Caucus membership to a two-year term. The position of Chair-Elect will automatically ascend to the position of Chair at the conclusion of all the National Black Caucus activities during the NSBA Annual Conference and Exposition and to a voting seat on the NSBA Board of Directors, which provides overall governance of the Association.
