Angela Korsmo
President

Angela Korsmo was elected president of the North Dakota School Boards Association in October 2010.  She was elected to the Board of Directors in 2006 and served as vice president from 2008-10.  She has earned NDSBA’s Master Board Member Award with distinction.

Angela has been a member of the West Fargo School Board since 1997, serving as vice president from 2003-08.  She has been an active participant on many of the local board committees over the years.

In 2007 Governor Hoeven appointed her to the North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board.

Angela is a graduate of the College of St. Benedict with a major in biology and minors in English and education.  She has been a science and English teacher, a vocational rehabilitation counselor, and is currently employed at Sanford Health in Fargo.  Angela and her husband Michael have four adult children.

Dr. Jon Martinson
Executive Director

Dr. Jon Martinson has served over thirty years in public education as a teacher, college administrator, and since 2000, as executive director of the North Dakota School Boards Association.

His educational background includes a B.S in psychology from North Dakota State University, an M.S. in Education from the University of Kansas, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
