Dysart School District Recognized for Technological Innovations
Educators from around nation visit Dysart schools to learn how technology is integrated with students

Since 2000, the Dysart Unified School District has more than tripled in size. Despite the unprecedented growth, we are focused on preparing our students to thrive in the new century. Dysart educators are passionate about the role of technology in education and are focused on creating students who not only exceed standards but who are truly future ready.  We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share and exchange ideas with our visitors. 

Visitors to our district will find that Dysart has embraced new century teaching and learning strategies in a variety of ways. Some highlights will include a look at our comprehensive instructional management system, iPAL which is a suite of tools enabling teachers to view curriculum maps, access student scores, and enroll in professional development. Visits to classrooms using innovative approaches such as student-owned devices, iPod Touch technology, and web 2.0 sites. In addition, the District will reveal our approach to new technology as well as strategies we use to ensure there is sufficient support both technically and in the area of professional development.

During your time with us, we encourage you to find a few hours to tour some of the local attractions. The Cactus League Spring Training facility and stadium is across the street from our district office and home to the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers. For those who want to get some exercise, the White Tank Regional Park located on the western edge of Surprise features the Waterfall Trail, a popular and easy hike. Golfers may hit the greens at one of the eight championship golf courses. Shopping, dining, entertainment and nightlife can be found southeast of Surprise at the West Gate City Center, home of the Arizona Cardinals. 

It is our hope that the participants who join us will gain innovative ideas that can taken back to their home district. We are honored to be hosting this visit and look forward to meeting you and showcasing the work of our students and staff.
